Welcome to
Sedbergh Primary School
As the Headteacher of Sedbergh Primary School, I would like to offer you a warm welcome and thank you for visiting our website.
Sedbergh Primary School is a small, rural school in the heart of the historic market town of Sedbergh, Cumbria. We are an Ofsted ‘Good’ school, and put ‘learning for happiness, safety and success’ at the heart of what we do.
We have a hardworking team of staff who are dedicated to building opportunities for the children of Sedbergh Primary School to achieve their academic potential, as well as ensuring that they are known as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtured and developed to the full.
Nestled at the foot of the mighty Howgills, and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District, we make excellent use of our fortunate surroundings in order to take learning outside of the classroom. Our children take part in a variety of trips, visits, theme days and extra-curricular activities to build their wider skill set, teamwork and confidence.
Through our teaching of the school values, and by working in partnership with parents and the local community, we ensure our pupils leave us well prepared for the next stage of their education and as happy, well-mannered and respectful citizens.
I hope exploring this website gives you a snapshot into the life and successes of our wonderful school. If you would like to visit us, please get in touch and you will be very welcome.
