Fantastic news – I’m delighted to tell you that today Ofsted have published the findings of the inspection they conducted at Sedbergh Primary School in September. They have judged us to be a ‘good’ school overall with many areas of strength and effectiveness. I am really pleased for the staff team and the whole community who have been working tirelessly to achieve this judgement long before my appointment. All the hard work has paid off!
The full report is now available on our school website (click here) and will become available on the Ofsted website in 5 days’ time. If anyone would prefer a paper copy of the report please do not hesitate to come into school and request one from the office.
In the judgement, something that stands out in particular is the children who attend this school – please take the time to read through and find all the lovely things that the inspection team had to say about them. Again, I would like to thank all the parents who have supported the school over the years and during the inspection period. Your commitment to the school, and the strength of the local community, really shone through and is recognised in the report.
I would like to invite all parents to a meeting with staff and Governors on the 9th November at 6.30pm where we will consider and discuss the next steps for this ‘good’ school.
