Each week, children are rewarded with House Points in recognition of their success in school. The points are awarded for any number of reasons; acts of kindness, careful listening, being resilient and remaining focused when learning gets tough, improving work, producing amazing homework, being independent and being a great friend. Any staff member in school can award a housepoint.
The children are organised into 4 broadly equal house groups. Each week our Year 6 children collect the points and add them to a running total. At the end of each term, we celebrate with the winning house point team. On Sports Day, we also present a trophy to the House team with the most points earned on the day.
Wonder of the Week
Each Friday, we present ‘Wonder’ certificates to those children who have really stood out in school and have gone the xtra mile with their learning, attitude or behaviour. Again, these certificates can be awarded by any member of staff in school, and on the odd occasion, we have had Wonder certificates awarded by children in school and by members of our local community. This is a special time where we recognise so many children who attend our school and the wonderful things they do.
