World Book Day

Sedbergh Primary School celebrated the 20th World Book Day in style this year.  On Thursday 2nd March everyone (even the teachers) dressed up as a character from a book. It was an amazing spectacle!  Four lucky winners were chosen by Count Dracula (Mr Towe) and Cruella de Vil (Mrs Scarr) and presented with a prize for the best dressed book character.  Our celebrations did not stop there; we also had Emily Hennesey, a story-teller, visit the school to tell wonderful tales from around the World.  Also the popular Extreme Reading competition returned and many pupils produced some fabulous photographs with them reading in strange positions or places.  Many other activities took place during the half term to promote reading and books, and a lot of fun was had by all!
